Mangrove Textiles is about dreaming, imagining, trying, connecting the dots, knowing there’s really no wrong answer in an honest creative life as long as the water is moving.
All handwoven pieces are designed, woven, and sewn in my home on the coast of Southern California.

I grew up in Florida, where the coastline is bordered by mangrove forests and islands.
These aquatic trees take root in the shallows and stand upon arching tangles of roots.
Providing habitat for fish in its roots, and birds in its leafy branches, the interwoven network of mangrove structure protects and nurtures life for many species. From this plant, Mangrove Textiles proudly takes its name.
As the roots and branches of the mangrove forest intertwine to create a sanctuary, so too do yarns and threads lock together in unifying creation.
Here, we value both process and product. Mangrove Textiles incorporates a variety of fiber art traditions - primarily weaving, as well as sewing, knitting, crochet, and spinning - making one-of-a-kind, slow crafted pieces to brighten your home and your space.
